Today,Hike Munchers went down the Joatngna Trail down in Angeles Forest in Upland, California. The Joatngna Trail is a fairly easy hike with a quick scenic pay off. The reason the path is rated a 2/5 is because though it’s flat there are some points where one will have to hike through a stream and if you don’t want to get wet there are lots of rocks to help you try and get yourself through.
When you first start the trail, the path is fairly obvious, though it may seem like a dry desert, you travel just a few yards and you’ll find that there is so much more.

Soon you reach a point where the desert meets the moist luxurious “fairy-tale”-esque stream.

This is where the “trail” (if you can even call it that) gets a little tricky. If you brought waterproof shoes great! Tread your way through this, you prepared stud, you. Unfortunately here at Hike Munchers we did not wear waterproof shoes because we are never prepared, you know our motto “making mistakes so you don’t have to”. Because of our water absorbent shoes (???) we tried our best to rock hop and yes it is possible!
Go down a couple more miles that way…

and eventually you will reach a wonderful swimming pond.

In total this hike was approximately 6 miles, it was absolutely beautiful and not very strenuous. I would recommend it for anyone who loves nature,is moderately adventurous and not afraid of a few spiked trees and cold running water.
